During a slow day at work, I broke in a new sketchbook with some serious scenery... which is really out of character and against type. But thre you have it. I had the muse, so I chased her down.

This is the mountain under which live the goblins and hobgoblins we all know and love.

I wish I know how to draw backgrounds like that... I really want to make little watercolour pictures of the various scenes and places my players go to, but I never have time, so I have to settle for prettily-worded descriptions instead D:

Holy cow, I'm surprised this wonderful piece didn't get more comments!

We may have our uber violent horror games today (e.g. Evil Dead), but pummeling the crap out of barely formed fetuses and kicking in a cervix till' it burst? Yeah... they don't make them like they used to...

Thanks!
I think this is the best one of this series. I find that usually happens. I do something fun that I like, so I try to replicate the experience over and over... the ones that come after are less and less satisfying.

Thank you very much!
I'm quite surprised myself, considering how much I generally abhore drawing sets and backgrounds. Or 'Layouts' as Jess calls them.

I'm sloppy with perspective, so I'm pleased that the depth still works.
